M1302 – Kitsilano House

Heritage C House renovations & Parking Cave

This 1918 Arts & Crafts house had been owned by the family for many years had been cut up into a series of smaller apartments when we first started a redesign. The redesign allowed for a symmetrical façade with two front doors and steps, while the plan is actually an up/down duplex allowing the owner to have the large deck and upper double height space in this one of a kind open plan living space. Kelly Deck Interiors joined us in what was a wonderful extreme reno, and Michael Horricks was the very talented and detailed designer in what was the Perfect Beach house, which was widely published and became one of the favourite homes on the Modern Homes tour 2016. This was truly a house that lived up to the adage “Great Architecture needs great clients” and everybody involved enjoyed the journey.
