Our Studio

Most recently, Metric Architecture, has grown and has moved to Leg & Boot Square within the False Creek neighbourhood close to Vancouver City Hall and Olympic Village. Our storefront carries on the tradition of “Architecture on the Street”, hopefully approachable to the Public and for our staff now part of the desirable Vancouver seawall lifestyle.

Sheridan has 20 years of Architecture and Urban Design experience with a multitude of projects within Canada & the UK from master planning, complex downtown historic renovations and the conclusion of the West End Infill Guidelines while working at the urban design department at the City of Vancouver. Of the projects worked on in Vancouver, the Eldorado at Kingsway and Nanaimo was a particular favorite. As rezoning Architect between 2005 and 2007 with Tim Ankenman, a higher density was negotiated with City and community stake holders to create one of the most important district nodes outside of Downtown within the East side ahead of the revitalized community plan. Eventually the site was purchased by Holborn and then sold on to Wall Developments, by which time Sheridan was involved in the implementation and construction of at Hotson Bakker Architects (Dialog) in 2009.

Metric Architecture projects currently under Sheridan’s supervision are:

  • Central City Brewers & Distillers Distribution Centre in Surrey
  • Rose bank Heritage Church redevelopment to studios in Scotland
  • Kitsilano Yacht Club Renovations
  • Victoria Drive Sales Centre
  • Water Street Commercial TI in Gastown
  • 6th Avenue Townhouse Development
  • 3 Mid Rise Rental Apartment Towers in South Granville
  • Kitsilano Development for Secured Market Rental Housing – The Missing Middle COV Pilot Project.
