When the owner recently purchased this 1976 house, it had its original shag carpets and dated kitchen.
METRIC was asked to add approximately 500 sf and create a great room open plan with new kitchen + wok, dining, media and living room.
The existing split level made it difficult to access the rear yard so a side door was added off the kitchen.
The entire house was refreshed. The bathrooms were all updated. A main level powder room and a guest bedroom with ensuite bath were added.
The crawlspace was insulated, windows were upgraded, new rain screen cladding was added to the exterior and a new low slope metal roof was installed.
The resulting house has new curb appeal and an impressive oversized entry.
